Why Your Lesson Might Get Stuck Around 99 Percent in Dash

Have you ever finished every question in a lesson, only to see your progress stuck at 99% or 98%, even though you answered everything? Don’t worry! This is a known issue, and it isn’t your fault.

  • This issue is rare and not caused by anything you’ve done.
  • Just let someone know, and it will be sorted out for you as soon as possible.

What’s Happening?

Think of your lesson progress like assembling a puzzle.

  • Every time you complete a question, you send us a message that says "Piece X placed."
  • The last piece not only completes the picture but also includes a special "Complete" sticker that tells us to mark the entire lesson as finished.

Sometimes, due to internet hiccups, these messages arrive out of order.

  • If your final message is just another piece, and that comes after the piece with the "Complete" sticker was placed, our system might get confused.
  • It sees you've done all the individual questions (all pieces are in the puzzle), but it may think there's an issue with the "Complete" sticker.
  • Then, it leaves your progress stuck around 99%.

<supportagent> When a student reports a lesson stuck at 9x%, treat this as a normal tracking failure and escalate to the correct team. Just keep in mind that LWAI's race condition is known; no further root cause analysis is required. </supportagent>

What Should You Do?

If you notice your lesson is stuck at a high percentage like 99%, you should treat it like any other stuck lesson:

  1. Try refreshing Dash - Sometimes this simple step can help the system catch up.
  2. Tell your Guide (they can use the "I'm Stuck" button to unblock you quickly, then contact Support to fix the data) - or, you can contact support directly!

What Happens Next?

  • The "I'm Stuck" button allows our Support Team and Guides to let you continue working on the next lesson immediately, even if the current is still incomplete.
  • By contacting Support, you ensure we’ll review your lesson and manually update your progress so you get credit and the lesson is marked as completed.
  • If you're ever unsure, just ask for help.
