Diagnosis
The frequent crashes of Google Chrome on MacOS can often be attributed to the coexistence of multiple user profiles within the browser. This conflict can lead to instability and crashes during browsing sessions due to the security policies that have been assigned.
Fix
To address the issue of Chrome crashes on MacOS, you will need to identify and Remove Additional User Profiles:
- On the computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click Profile.
- Next to "Other Profiles," select Manage profiles.
- Point to the profile that needs to be removed.
- At the top right of the profile, click More. Delete.
- To confirm, click Delete.
- Repeat steps 1-6 until every user profile has been removed.
- Restart the Chrome browser.
Once the browser has been restarted, you will be able to sign in using the student profile.
